THE POWER OF ONE PERCENT

You might have heard the adage, “Rome wasn’t built in a day”. It’s telling of the times. Much of the creature comforts of life are served up on demand through fast internet connections, Amazon, McDonald’s, and so forth. However, this level of expectation falls at odds when the only solution is grinding through a long period of time. In a modern era where waiting has become obsolete it’s almost maddening to experience tiny incremental gains. But let us rejoice and embrace the gain, even if it’s only one percent.

However, as we progress through the years the distance between the two boats increases significantly making it virtually impossible for the boat on the left to correct its trajectory to catch up with the boat on the right.
